MBA Student Spotlight: Artilie Wright

Artilie Wright — the first in her family to attend college — is a native Washingtonian and full-time MBA candidate in the Class of 2019. She has a background in cultural studies, corporate partnerships, and social impact and was recently elected as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) for Ward 7 in Washington, D.C. During her time at Howard, Artilie served as the Corporate Partnerships Chair for the MBA Exclusive, Outreach Chair for the Graduate Business School Council, and a Graduate Student Association Representative. Artilie has helped to bridge the gap between the MBA program and recruiters as well as forged relationships with local businesses such as Broccoli Bar/Broccoli City, Saturday Sessions, and Tito’s Vodka. She also established connections between the Howard MBA program and larger MBA programs both in the D.C. area and throughout the country through events such as happy hours and conferences. Artilie was a semi-finalist in the 2019 Edens Retail Challenge, completed a summer internship at Goldman Sachs, and plans to join Vanguard in the fall as part of its MBA Leadership Development Rotational Program.
